...excuse me for asking for help on such a basic thing but it is bothering me...and I am desperate for something post worthy
(actually, on reflection this probably doesn't cut it either)
Anyway...never stopped me before :)
Regarding label placement...
(ignore the actual label that I would prefer in a different fabric/typeface/size)...
This way (across the back)
...or that? (sticking out to the side)
Any advice?

I always seem to do them sticking out to the side, but they look good both ways - that wasn't much help was it?
On the side does it for me. It doesn't cover up any of the lovely fabric.
They both do it for me, just an idea with the sticking out one, maybe you could try using the label as the hanging device (with the little D ring on the end)? Cute maybe?

i prefer the first one ;across the back which i think to be neater that way..and i would always see them as part of the design, trim/lace instead of label.
If you would like someone to know who has made it right from the word go then the sticking out one but if it is not for that purpose I think either is good. Cheers and good luck with the NaBloPoMo.
