schedule of a Christmas newborn

We are coming up to the Christmas rush, as everyone is but I have begun to realise how my conception timing could've been a lot better...(I'll try to think about that next time.)

It feels like it is going to be busy, busy, busy round here and if baby is not careful we will miss out on it all...(knowing some of my family Christmas's this could be a minor blessing in disguise!)
  • Yesterday was my ultrasound due date...(came and went without a peep.)
  • Another appointment today with the baby doctor...hopefully no more induction talk (not my scene to bring a baby early just to catch a party)
  • Wednesday is my mum's birthday...(I need to find a better prezzie)
  • The 21st is our deadline for getting out of hospital for Christmas Day.
  • The 23rd is my obscure written down due date...apparently from a comment hubby-j made about my cycle falling "around the full moon" (how flaky does that sound!)
  • Drinks (yeah right!) at my cousins for christmas eve then off to my mum's as Santa has their address (and the girls toys) ready for delivery on the 25th.
  • The 26th is supposed to be more family at my mum's holiday house (1 1/2 hours from Sydney) or my aunt's farm (5 hours from Sydney!) - I somehow think not!
  • Following day is my birthday (crappy birthdate!) Nobody wants a party by then and a lot of people forget completely so it shouldn't be any big deal.
  • A few days rest then back to my sis's for NYE
  • Finally hubby-j looks like he will need to be back at work for the 3rd.
Oh yeah!...and somewhere in amongst all of that mess I have to deliver a newborn!

baby: if you are listening...anytime from now would be good... ASAP...today looks like as good a day as any...if you are up for it!...pleeeaaase?

I hope the baby turns up soon! (Do you think it will hear you if you whisper threats to name it Noel or Rudolph if it doesn't put in an appearance in before Christmas?) Sending you good thoughts.

Oh boy, you poor thing! Isn't the 'not knowing when' excruciating!? Eloise was due on the 16th, luckily she came a few days early because I was starting to stress too! My birthday is the 24th but I must agree with you, having a birthday between Christmas and New Years would not be the best! December's going to be big for your family regardless!!

Cmon little pyglet....you don't want to miss Christmas!!!

Yuk. I remember. Four years ago I was due on Dec 26th. I tried cancelling Christmas altogether, and refused to travel at all. Unfortunately my family weren't listening, and they came to me (possibly worse!) Thankfully (though I wasn't at the time), Finn held off until NYE to be born, so his birthday is slightly better than a Boxing Day one. We made sure #2 was as far away from Christmas as possible though!

Hope you're on your way v.soon and all goes well :)

I have a december baby too I know what you mean about a yucky birthday I have a hard time getting people to come because theya re so worried about their own kids. I even tell them no gift is needed jsut want kids to play with my kid. It is a hard time of year. This year I got wise and let the parent know hey I can watch teh kids from here to here for my daughters birthday and you have 2 hours aof no kid shopping and wrapping time. That worked. Just an idea for your little ones b-days. I also have an anniversary in this month. Funny but that is when it fit between finals and a plane ticket I had for 6 months so that is when we got married. Not romantic but true. Good luck with your little one. Sunshine

P.S. Got your card today very lovely thank you
