Good news: Ivy from Pinned offered to swap with me regardless.
Bad news: It wasn't long after that and I was unable to do much for fear of freezing to death and never regaining the use of my brain.
(first trimester is weird that way for me)
Good news: I have been quite productive over the last couple of weeks.
(thankful my fears have not been realised)
Bad news: I have not been in contact with Ivy since before May.
Good news: I have finished my pseudo-backtack3 submission
I used my dragonfly pattern but enlarged it. Instead of being about 7cm in length on the body this guy is about 20cm. I think it is much more successful. 3 buttons on it's tail/stinger and 2 for eyes, makes the required 5 and an "I" has been cut into the bottom black wing.
Bad news: I'm not sure if I am still in Ivy's good books.(*smile*.......smiling sweetly for Ivy) I have been trying, in ernest, to contact her over the last few days
Good news: I apologise sincerely for my lack of communication
EDIT: More good news: All is well and we are back in contact
Bad news: Ivy may have thought the swap was well and truly called off and may not have made anything.
(Which would be understandable and fair)
EDIT: Good news: Swap is definately still ON!
Good news: I made two bugs and like them both, so would be fine about keeping them......if I had to. (I don't want there to be any pressure)
EDIT: More good news: I get to send Ivy the one I made for her. YAY!
More good news: This guy below is my favourite and I will definately be making more like him. All's well that ends well!

Ok, the dragonflies are absolutely DIVINE!!! I love.
Me too, I proposed you something like that :( I let you a comment on your post "running on empty" the 28th of april about your BT3 missed and proposed you a swap to console you :( You never saw it :( sniff sniff LOL
I love them, they are so whimsical!
Welcome back to blogging and congrats on the new development within. Thanks so much for your postcard in the swap, I can't remember if I thanked you before,so there it is again. It was one of my favs.
Harry will tell you that Dragonflys are my favourite insect! And that's not hard because I really don't like too many of them. Lady beetles come a close second.
Great Bug!
