sunday reading

Gee...I hope I didn't upset anyone with my hubby's humour. It is unusual, incongruous and explanations might not translate here but it gives me a giggle. The email below was also sent with a simple sentence under it...I picked up your book.
The whole email was to tell me he had gone and bought me this book.

I have been looking for it everywhere. It was a childhood favourite. I didn't really like reading as a kid. I found a lot of the books we were given boring and long winded. I remember this book being exciting, fast-paced with a hidden magic (still a bit of a prerequisite). I went on to read all his books and many others. It was the beginning of a love affair with all things bookish. I am looking forward to reading it again soon. I hope it lives up to my memories.

At the moment I am reading this.

It was a Christmas gift for hubby-j but he didn't seem impressed so I picked it up first. It isn't anything real heavy but the author has told a good story and it is an interesting read for the average person (i.e. non-Google experts). I've only got a few pages to go. So coffee in hand, I'm off to the couch.

Have a great Sunday!
